The Ship is located at the edge of the village, just off the coastal path. The menu provides locally sourced foods and they ensure they always cater for gluten free and vegan diets. Welsh ales and liquors to sample. There is a local’s bar, a lounge, function room and a beer garden overlooking a lush green valley. Dogs are always welcome. Welsh widely spoken.

The Sloop Inn in Porthgain dates from 1743. It's one of the most popular pubs in Pembrokeshire and with good cause. Inside the pub is quaint and historic, while the seating area around the front door is an idyllic sun trap. The Sloop Inn provides a fantastic menu with many seasonal Welsh dishes and specials available all year round, served 7 days a week. There is nearly always fresh fish amongst the specials and in the season locally sourced lobster, crab and mackerel subject to availability. The Bishops – (name originating from a group of rocks 1 – 2 miles west of Ramsey Island off St Davids Head), is situated in a prime position right on the Cross Square in the centre of the city of St Davids. The Bishops, welcomes families and is open for food everyday of the year except Christmas Day.

Specials are also available alongside the Bar Menu (except during the afternoon) and these change regularly.

The Farmers consists of two rooms, the top room being considered more as a dining area, and then the glue pot is where the locals tend to gather. It has an open fire which makes it actually rather warm on winters’ nights – depending who is in charge of the logs! Just off to the side of this main bar contains a room where you can play pool and darts.There is also an outside patio which is south facing and consequently a wonderful suntrap. There are (standing) views of the cathedral from the patio and there is also an outside bar (seasonal) which offers a lovely ambience on balmy summer nights.

The Shed is a relaxed & informal small fish & chip bistro in the renowned village of Porthgain, situated on the Pembrokeshire coast path, serving their own caught and local fish & shellfish; landed daily & served within hours. All our dishes are made 'in house', with two menus running alongside each other - Fish and Chip and A' la Carte. The Bistro is small and booking is essential.
